Hi, I am Josh Hall. I am on a mission to help people, including myself, reach for their dreams. If you also want that then you should join the ride. I am someone who has always attempted to challenge the status quo. This lives on today but the first time I can really place a true quote to it was when I was 16 years old: | ![]() |
I am going to retire by 35.

I am 33 so I still have a few years to reach my goal.
I started out of college at Charles Schwab and after 6 months of busting my butt I hated it. Thats when I went back to school to work on Computer Science. Once I finished that program I moved to Chicago to start my masters. In that time I got a job as a Junior Trader at a firm in town. After a few years of getting my feet wet I moved to a more Senior role and in that first year was responsible for the trading firm growing by 8X in revenue. It was then that I realized that I had not been working towards my original goal.
Thats when we went to work on that. I got back into a masters program but this time in Data Science instead of Game Development. I got all of my finances in order. You would be amazed and how much you do not know even when you have degrees in the area. I grew my income, I cut my expenses and I started buying assets — the three pillars of what you have to do to super charge your journey towards “retirement” or financial independence. I started in Real Estate with house hacking a duplex that I bought. I have started a consulting business and started buying small businesses including a local drive thru convenient store.
I am here today writing this newsletter and running my businesses and I am doing it for me. I am also doing it for you! My journey is not complete but I think I can provide insights to my readers along the way to help them not make the mistakes I did. They can also watch me grow in real time to know that it is possible if you are willing to do what it takes. I still preach you should have fun but you need to set the expectations of yourself to help you chase your freedom.
